Dreaming In The Cloud

I woke up and sat up with a clear goal on my mind
To write a poem so inspiring you’d have to press rewind
With your mind and read my words again 
Or at least get your mind thinking
About  your life, about your goals
I know it’s easy to say “that’s just the way shit goes”
But sit back and think about it one more time
Who’s in control? Is your life yours or is it mine?
I want you to sit back and realize
Everyday you’re living is a day in paradise
I can say it and I mean it, but the point of this is for
You to see it  through your beautiful eyes
Don’t let anyone bring you down,
They’re not always going to be around

You can do anything you can dream about,
Sink or swim, keep quite or shout it out,
It’s all up to you, only you can change
You’re life or leave it the same
I know it’s hard to keep your mind from
Dwelling in the negativity, but your hearts a beating drum,
It wants to keep flowing towards the positive,
Let it speak, let it be communicative 
With your mind, with your soul,
Only then will you be in total control
Take two steps back and think aloud
“Why aren’t my thoughts always in the cloud?”
If you think it you can do it, believe in yourself
And never pay attention to anybody else
